Waneta C. Tuttle, Ph.D., M.B.A., Interim CEO Dr. Tuttle was founding CEO of Exagen and served in that capacity until 2005. She is the owner and CEO of Southwest Medical Ventures (SMV), a life sciences venture development and advisory services company. Through SMV she previously was the founding CEO of Indigo Medical, (now owned by Johnson & Johnson's Ethicon Endosurgery), Patient Technologies, PhDx Systems. SMV is the managing member of Puente Partners, LLC a venture development company in Albuquerque. Until its sale to Eisai Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in January of 2008, Dr. Tuttle served as a Director of NASDAQ listed MGI Pharma, Inc., an oncology and acute care focused biopharmaceutical company. She is a Director of Health Care Service Corporation, a mutual legal reserve company operating Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. She continues as a Director of PhDx Systems and is a Member of the Corporation at the Charles Stark Draper Laboratories in Boston. Dr. Tuttle's Ph.D. is in biology with a concentration in physiology. She also holds an M.B.A. from the R.O. Anderson Schools of Management at the University of New Mexico where she serves on its National Advisory Board. She has been inducted into the Anderson Schools Hall of Fame. |

John Alsobrook II, Ph.D., V.P., Chief Operating Officer With more than 25 years of industry and faculty experience, Dr. Alsobrook is responsible for confirmation and validation of biomarker discoveries. Prior to joining Exagen in 2005, Dr. Alsobrook was a consultant for biotech and pharmaceutical clients including Genaissance Pharmaceuticals, Amersham Health, and G.E. Healthcare. He also worked at CuraGen Corp. as genetics supervisor for drug discovery and as senior research scientist for pharmacogenomics. From 1996-2000, Alsobrook was associate faculty scientist at Yale School of Medicine Child Study Center, where he investigated inherited psychiatric disorders. He holds separate B.S. degrees in biochemistry and physics from California State University Los Angeles, and both an M. Phil. and a Ph.D. from Yale University's Department of Genetics. |

Dale Olson, V.P., General Manager With 14 years of health care industry experience, Mr. Olson was most recently CEO of Lovelace Sandia Health System Rehabilitation Hospital of New Mexico. Prior to Lovelace, he served as Principal/President of Sandia Consulting, Inc., a health care consulting firm with clients in Arizona, California, Michigan and New Mexico. He was also Vice President, Chief Operating Officer at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and served as Administrator for Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Albuquerque. Mr. Olson holds an M.B.A. from the University of New Mexico, and a B.A. in business administration from Western Michigan University. |

Lisa Davis, Ph.D., V.P., Product Development Dr. Davis has 18 years of experience conducting and managing genetic research. She served as Associate Director for Molecular Genetics at Applied Genetics Laboratory, where she managed DNA probe R&D. Previously, she was a postdoctoral fellow and research associate at the Roswell Park Memorial Institute. Dr. Davis holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of North Carolina. |

Cole Harris, V.P., Computational Discovery Mr. Harris is the key inventor and developer of the eXagen data-mining platform and a co-founder of the company. Prior to eXagen, Mr. Harris worked as a Senior Scientist at Quasar International, Inc., where he developed novel pattern recognition algorithms for application in the non-destructive testing industry. A subset of these algorithms forms the core of eXagen's computational engine. Before his work at Quasar, Mr. Harris was engaged in research on computational methods of imaging seismic data as a senior researcher at Veritas DGC, and has several publications in this field. Mr. Harris has 15 years of experience in the development of sophisticated computational algorithms, and holds an M.A. in physics from Johns Hopkins University. |
