A whole blood specimen is required. A whole blood specimen is drawn in the PAXgene blood tube provided in the specimen collection kit. (fasting is not necessary). The specimen storage conditions are room temperature and no centrifugation or specimen processing is required. The tube should be labeled at a minimum with the patient's last name, first initial, and date of birth. Please follow the instructions specified in both the PAXgene Instructions and the Patient Preparation and Specimen Requirements sheets. Additionally, an online PAXgene Instructional Video will provide further preparation details.

Exagen Diagnostics will send patient's results to the ordering physician within 7 business days of specimen receipt.
