Please complete all fields in the Test Requisition. The requested
information is necessary for proper test interpretation.
A whole blood specimen is required. A whole blood specimen is
drawn in the PAXgene blood tube provided in the specimen collection
kit. (fasting is not necessary). The specimen storage conditions
are room temperature and no centrifugation or specimen processing
is required. The tube should be labeled at a minimum with the
patient's last name, first initial, and date of birth. Please
follow the instructions specified in both the PAXgene
Instructions and the Patient Preparation and Specimen
Requirements sheets. Additionally, an online PAXgene
Instruction Video will provide further preparation
details.
Exagen uses Federal Express to transport patient specimens to
the laboratory for analysis. Please follow the Exagen FedEx
Instruction sheet and the shipping instructions printed on the
specimen collection kit provided.
Exagen Diagnostics will send patient's results to the ordering
physician within 7 business days of specimen receipt.
